Smite 2 Permanent Access Launches in Late August, Developer Promises Ongoing Enhancements
Jun-25-2024
Smite 2 is set to permanently open its doors in late August. Titan Forge Games has been incrementally unveiling more aspects of Smite 2, enabling players to engage with the game and provide essential feedback during various Closed Alpha weekends over recent months. Despite the game still being in alpha, the developer had promised a continuous release, and it will always be playable for those who have the Founder's Edition.
The official date for this release is now confirmed to be August 27. Titan Forge made this announcement in a new developer video, stating that in the upcoming months, they will be dedicating additional time to implementing numerous changes based on player feedback. These changes include enhancing console controls, refining the pacing of Conquest gameplay, and reducing the sluggish and clunky aspects of gameplay, among other improvements. The full list of planned adjustments can be found here.
This release is happening a month later than Titan Forge initially anticipated, as they wanted to allocate extra time to address further feedback. As for the arrival of a Closed Beta, it is scheduled for late 2024, with an anticipated full free-to-play Open Beta sometime in 2025.
