Robert Downey Jr. to Reprise Iconic Role as Dr. Doom for Marvel's Upcoming Avengers Films, Receiving $100 Million Compensation

The recent announcement regarding Robert Downey Jr.'s involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has taken many by surprise. The actor is set to portray Dr. Doom in forthcoming Avengers films, with the character currently not being referred to as Victor Von Doom. 

Alongside this significant role, Downey Jr. will reportedly receive a remarkable fee. Industry insider Jeff Sneider has revealed that the actor's compensation amounts to $50 million for each film, culminating in a total of $100 million for his portrayal of Dr. Doom. There is also potential for him to earn additional money should the films perform successfully at the box office. 

Although Marvel projects have faced challenges at the box office in recent times, it's anticipated that audiences will be eager to witness Downey Jr.'s comeback. In a recent conversation, he shared that he had discussions with Kevin Feige about this character approximately a year ago, expressing interest in the role, likely influenced by the financial incentive as well. 

Moreover, it has been reported that the Russo brothers are set to receive a substantial sum for their direction of these upcoming films, earning $40 million for each project they helm.
